About My Clients
My experiences working with individuals with chronic illnesses has developed my skills to help individuals with stress-management, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, and behavior management/parenting skills of all children. I am also skilled at helping clients cope through the trajectory of having a chronic illness.
My Background and Approach
I received my doctoral degree in psychology at Hofstra University. For the past 12 years, I have worked in the hospital setting. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is developing a strong therapeutic relationship and connection with your therapist. I aim to make each patient feel comfortable and cared for with my warm, empathetic, and friendly personality. I help sort through your concerns, develop goals based on these concerns, and then utilize specific strategies to help you achieve your goals. Each session, I provide practical ways to help clients work toward achieving these goals and improving quality of life and emotional functioning. I look forward to working with you. My primary approach to therapy is using techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Modification.
