About My Clients

I really enjoy working with clients who are seeking guidance in creating new opportunities, whether you are excited or terrified by change. I help clients learn to regulate uncomfortable or overwhelming emotions that continue to affect your relationships with others, or to develop and/or maintain interpersonal relationships, as well as those experiencing depression and looking to healthily cope with their symptoms. Substance misuse, BPD, anxiety and depression are all specialities of mine.

My Background and Approach

I chose to be a Mental Health Therapist while I was on the path to becoming a Physical Therapist. After I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Sports Science from LIU Brooklyn, my life took a sharp turn with a sudden tragic loss, so I decided to follow my truest passion of helping people a bit differently. My approach is client-centered; together we decide on your goals. You are the expert of your life and experiences; I am here to offer guidance, tools, and therapeutic techniques. I have years of experience using CBT and DBT as therapeutic modalities, as well as Motivational Enhancement Therapy to help identify what drives my clients to seek changes. Vulnerability is strength. Seeking answers through curiosity is half the battle. With my experience and your self-knowledge, we can identify problem areas, behaviors, symptoms, and emotions that could be affecting your holistic wellness. You’re in the right place; I will always work to ensure your needs are being met.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I value our therapeutic bond very much. To build trust and rapport, I will probably self-disclose from time to time, always ethically, and only if my self disclosure may benefit you in some way. My clients I've had for years tell me it's something they really appreciate, and it is a special relationship that I take very seriously. I don't think it matters how old you are, I know you are capable of change. The "stuck in their ways" mentality is a clean cop out for many people, but it doesn't have to be that way for you. That version of you that you can't get out of your head, I am here to help you achieve the healthy aspects of it, little by little. I try my best to make sure my client's know who they are talking to. You are allowing me into your internalized self and I know what a privilege that is. When I seek a therapist, I want to know that I am talking to someone with similar values. So please feel free to ask me questions during our sessions together :)
