About My Clients
The view you adopt for yourself affects how you lead your life. Learning to love yourself can feel challenging sometimes like it works against everything you've been taught. But I've never met a person who invested in their wellbeing. I will meet you where you are in the process and help guide you toward where you want to be. I help clients from all walks of life who are seeking to evolve, regulate their emotions in a healthy way, and develop a positive relationship with themselves and others.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about working with people experiencing a range of issues surrounding trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship or interpersonal concerns. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to counseling. I utilize an integrative method, employing various counseling theories and techniques to customize a treatment plan as unique as my clients. My holistic approach emphasizes the importance of getting to know each client and the multiple aspects of their current life, past, and hopes for the future that have guided their beliefs and decisions until today. My primary theoretical orientations are Person-Centered, Strengths-Based Psychodynamic Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and aspects of mindfulness with clients to help them reach their goals in a safe, therapeutic environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up in the New York metropolitan area and moved to North Carolina in 2006. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. And went on to earn a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. I am currently a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of North Carolina. I enjoy spending time with my family, going on nature adventures, reading, and practicing self-care.
