I am a compassionate EMDR trained LMFT trying to do my part to make to world a little more beautiful for everyone.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Los Alamitos, CA
I have a huge passion for helping people "get past their past". In my experience, the fastest and most effective way to do this is through EMDR therapy. I will take the time needed to prepare you for this sometimes intense therapy and help guide you through the maladaptive memory networks that have developed in your mind and body. Once you are on the other side, I look forward to helping you prepare for a glorious future no longer saturated with triggers to the past.
I utilize Animal Assisted Therapy and Animal Assisted Interventions. During COVID-19, since I am seeing clients entirely through telehealth, I welcome your pets into session to help you cope. I also use many metaphors involving the animal world to help you see different perspectives. When it is again safe to return to in-person sessions, my animals (golden retriever and kenyan sandboas) look forward to greeting you.
I embrace each of the stories we choose to lead. Sometimes, our stories can shift from ones that are enjoyable to ones of survival. I am here to help you get your life back on track and slay the monsters in your way.
I have much experience working with addiction. I am trained in Desensitization of Triggers and Urge Reprocessing (DeTUR), a specialized protocol for additions utilized by EMDR therapists. I have a family history surrounded by addiction and approach it with empathy and compassion. I am also well versed in the Big Book, 12 programs, and residential facilities.
I am trained in EMDR therapy and specialize in trauma recovery. I can help you "unstick" the stuff that's "stuck" and live the life you want to.
I specialize in Pet Bereavement. The loss of a pet is often misunderstood and undervalued by our society. I am here to help you feel heard and process through your pain. I utilize EMDR therapy to help you get back on your feet while remember and embracing your loss.
