About My Clients
Are you struggling to get what you want out of life? Do you feel overwhelmed with life's expectations, exhausted, hopeless? Are you struggling with conflict or connection in your relationships? Life is full of difficult transitions and changes we are not always prepared for. Whether you are newly married, a new parent, or preparing for college the pressure can be crippling. I can help you gain skills that will allow you to take back control of your life.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in several different mental health settings with several different populations. Through these diverse experiences I have learned many issues can be improved by learning and conquering simple skills that are often overlooked or underestimated. I work with my clients to identify life stressors and teach said skills to assist in overcoming these stressors. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to build resilience, strengthen coping, learn effective communication, and improve relationships. I am task oriented and solution focused in order to quickly identify factors causing distress and create a plan to best address the concerns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The skills that you will gain working with me are ones that I have spent significant time teaching others who are struggling with problems just like yours. I utilize components of cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to improve communication skills, build resilience, strengthen coping, and overcome negative thinking. I focus on identifying life stressors and taking a task oriented, solution focused approach to help my clients problem solve and live their life to the fullest.
