My Background and Approach

There’s no shortage of therapists on this site, and you're wondering how to find the one that’s right for you, so allow me to tell you about my background and approach: I specialize working with men who are tired of getting in their own way - numbing out with substances, blowing up relationships, reacting to anger, or burying hurt deep down. I utilize evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness practices, and I’ve learned that no two people follow the same path in therapy. Meaningful change happens when people feel connected, supported, and informed. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that is built upon these principles. Together, I will work with you to cultivate an open and trusting relationship, set collaborative and realistic goals, and equip you with the tools to move toward the life you want.
