I help individuals with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), those seeking support during life adjustments, individuals experiencing grief and loss, and those navigating anxiety and substance use issues. I understand the struggles of navigating daily stressors and anxiety, and I am dedicated to helping individuals find effective coping strategies.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach centers around Experiential Therapy, with a focus on the individual’s present experience as a catalyst for transformative change. Through guidance, I assist individuals in ‘re-experiencing’ specific moments, delving into their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations within a safe and supportive space. Additionally, I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to nurture self-acceptance, establish a sense of safety, and navigate potentially harmful behaviors. Furthermore, I employ Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a path for healing from chronic stress and past traumas. These combined therapeutic approaches, encompassing experiential therapy, DBT, and EMDR, serve as effective tools on the journey of healing and self-discovery. Their integration empowers individuals to skillfully navigate their lived experiences in life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the in-depth understanding of the mind-body-spirit experience. With personal experiences navigating a range of mental health conditions such as ADHD, MDD, CPTSD, and learning disabilities, I have developed a growth mindset and a trauma-informed perspective to life. Through my journey in therapy and the studying of psychology, I think we all can benefit the therapy experience with evidenced-based science and (w)holistic methods.
