About My Clients
Does anxiety ever seem to come out of nowhere and take over your entire body? The racing thoughts, tight chest, dizziness, or overwhelming urge to escape can leave you wondering, “Why is this happening to me?” You don’t have to keep living on high alert. Together, we’ll help your nervous system feel safe again so you can feel like yourself. With EMDR therapy I help client recalibrate their nervous systems.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s degree from California State University Fullerton, and my passion lies in empowering individuals to seize control of their lives and pursue joy. Guiding clients through understanding trauma's impact on emotions and behaviors, I impart skills for calmness and safety post-events. With EMDR, I perform two vital functions. Firstly, I aid the brain in rewiring itself, facilitating healing from unwanted automatic responses rooted in negative experiences. Secondly, I assist clients in cultivating new, positive automatic responses that enhance their lives. EMDR, to me, is brain therapy—a journey alongside clients, allowing the brain to heal itself as intended. In addition to EMDR, I'm a SPIRITUS Breathwork Facilitator, ushering clients into altered states of consciousness. Together, through these modalities, we embark on a holistic journey toward healing and transformation your Central Nervous System.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I think of therapy like a car ride: you’re in the driver’s seat, and I’m beside you as your guide. I may suggest a direction or point out something worth exploring, but you decide the speed, the destination, and when you’re ready to move forward. Whether we use EMDR or talk therapy, your sense of safety, control, and readiness are always my priority. My confidence in EMDR is also deeply personal. After becoming trained in EMDR and witnessing the meaningful changes my clients were experiencing, I decided to begin my own EMDR journey. It changed my life in ways I never expected. One of the things I love most about EMDR is discovering how naturally the brain knows what it needs to process. I often joke that I could have spent years in traditional talk therapy without ever knowing what I really needed to work through. EMDR helped me experience firsthand the wisdom of the brain and the body's natural capacity to heal.
