About My Clients
I see patients from a variety of backgrounds and diverse struggles. I have experience with the LGBTQ+ community, college students, artists, and a various professionals. Over the years I've worked with depression, anxiety, psychotic symptoms, stress and body dysmorphia, in addition to other issues.
My Background and Approach
I am trained at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytc Study as a modern psychoanalyst. I work with each patient based on their individual needs as the relationship develops. I work to help you put your thoughts and emotions into words. This can have surprising and powerful results. There is freedom in saying out loud—in a unique and confidential environment—what is only said to oneself, often quietly and without self-awareness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that when we allow ourselves to say what we have withheld, we begin to see our world from new perspectives, develop new ways of being in the world, and begin to make new choices. Therapy can be painful, slow, and arduous; this is part of why we undertake this process with an experienced therapist, someone to be in our lives for exactly and only this purpose. This is how I understand my work.
