About My Clients

If you’re struggling with OCD, anxiety, depression, postpartum, intimacy, or a major life transition, you deserve therapy that is effective and personalized to you. Sometimes that means slowing down to explore your full story. Other times, it means focusing on practical skills to help manage what’s overwhelming you most. Whatever you need, my goal is to create a space that feels safe, genuine, and compassionate. Together, we’ll process past difficulties and move towards meaningful change.

My Background and Approach

I use a holistic approach that blends evidence-based practices — such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) — with the understanding that you are the expert on your own life. I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker with over eight years of experience in social work. I earned my BA in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies and my MS in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. I also completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training which supports my use of movement, breathwork, and other somatic practices in therapy when appropriate. Throughout my career, I’ve supported a wide range of people including children in foster care, LGBTQIA+ teens, older adults, caregivers, survivors of domestic violence, people who were incarcerated, and people navigating OCD, anxiety, depression, and perinatal mood disorders. These experiences continue to inform my inclusive, creative, and relational approach to therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing happens in the context of safe, authentic, and compassionate relationships. Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about honoring your full humanity, including the parts that feel messy, uncertain, or hard to hold. I see each person within the larger systems that shape our lives—family, culture, gender, race, ability, and class—and I understand that personal struggles are often connected to systemic injustice. As a social worker and yoga teacher, I’m committed to anti-oppressive, trauma-informed care that affirms your lived experience and recognizes the resilience it takes to exist in a world that can feel unsafe or invalidating. I believe therapy can be a space not just for individual healing, but for reclaiming your voice, power, and belonging.
