About My Clients
Are you experiencing chronic worrying, anxiety, or overwhelming feelings of stress? Are you finding it more and more difficult to "relax?" These symptoms can be taxing on you both emotionally and physically and are caused by a variety of factors. In our work together, you can expect to gain new insights into your symptoms and also learn practical techniques that will help you achieve your goals.
My Background and Approach
I have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Rutgers University and have developed a specialty in the treatment of PTSD and anxiety disorders. I also have additional expertise working with people experiencing symptoms of depression, relationship issues, or difficulty adjusting to a new life situation. When I’m not seeing clients in my private practice, I work as a psychologist at VA New Jersey Healthcare System providing specialized therapy to veterans with PTSD. I am also a clinical assistant professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where I teach psychiatry residents topics related to clinical psychology. Every client has a unique background, personality, and reason for starting therapy. My goal is to provide a therapy experience that understands and reflects these important factors. I have been formally trained in both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies and my practice is typically a blend of these two approaches.
