About My Clients
I specialize in working with adult women who have experienced trauma, eating disorders, or anxiety. It is my desire that you experience an environment that is calm and a relationship with a trustworthy therapist where you can feel safe, seen, and understood. You can thrive mentally, physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually as you heal from the inside out! You will receive a personalized approach to help you experience freedom.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana, and a Nationally Certified Counselor with experience in individual, family, and group therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient clinics.. I am the founder of Wellspring Therapy Associates and am trained in evidence-based treatments including EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also am certified as a Compassion Fatigue Therapist and Educator through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. Throughout the therapy process, I also utilize elements from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and work from an attachment-based framework. I incorporate mind-body connection and counsel from a holistic perspective, attending to the emotional, mental, spiritual, physical, and relational aspects of a person.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
While I offer Christian counseling, I welcome people from all different backgrounds and belief systems. Therapy is a nonjudgmental space where you are free to explore, live in accordance to your values and work to meet the goals you have for your life. In addition to counseling, I am a published author, speaker, and have been on numerous podcasts. I am engaged in fundraising walks for various groups including suicide prevention and cancer. I love animals - especially dogs and horses.
