About My Clients
I work with individuals experiencing many different challenges; anxiety, depression, trauma, grief or loss, Bipolar Disorder, relationship difficulties and life-transitions. My work with couples sometimes includes; per-marital counseling, communication work, conflict resolution, and relationships phase-of-life transitions.
My Background and Approach
My approach is based on developing a strong therapeutic relationship, anchored in empathy and respect, to promote a space that is safe, inspiring, and healing. Treatment is tailored to each individual and their unique circumstance. I draw mostly from Person-centered psychology and incorporate other theories such as Attachment Theory and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have the potential and power to lead fulfilling lives. For some of us, we just need a little help looking deeper within. This self-reflection can be accomplished by developing an understanding of how the different facets of our lives - childhood, trauma experiences, relationships, health, and work - impact our sense of self.
