About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who is struggling with life's challenges in some way, such as a personal loss, a life change/transition, their mood or self-esteem, or coping with traumas. My clients want to explore and process past experiences which are impacting their present and in turn make positive changes to their current and future selves and relationships. They want to put in the (sometimes hard!) work needed to resolve internal and relational conflicts, and achieve positive changes.
My Background and Approach
I am currently a PhD Candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor in addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I specialize in working with teens and adults of all ages with relationship problems, life changes/ transitions, grief and loss, mood disorders and emotional regulation, stress management, and self-esteem and self-confidence. My approach to therapy is solution-focused, strengths-based and trauma-informed. I incorporate creative techniques with clients who enjoy these experiences. I also provide mindfulness education and meditation sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the importance of social justice and working toward making our communities safe and supportive for everyone.
