About My Clients

Is your child struggling with anxiety, social skills, or school issues? I work with kids, preteens, & teens who dread school, shut down under pressure, or need help managing big emotions & the parents/adults supporting them. I also work with natural helpers: parents, educators, therapists, first responders, & those who always puts others first. If you're looking for strategies to process your thoughts & experiences, parenting supports & strategies or just space to feel it all, this is the space.

My Background and Approach

I'm Bree Ruoff, LISW-S, a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor with 11+ years of experience working directly inside schools and communities. That background gives me a unique, insider understanding of school systems—IEPs, 504s, and the day-to-day reality of what it's like for a child to walk into a building that feels impossible some days. It also gives me the benefit of knowing how to help parents navigate schools & support the teachers and staff that teach our children. My approach blends CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based practices, and strength-based, narrative therapy. I love challenging a negative thought, encouraging gratitude, and letting my clients lead. I hold an MSW from Ohio State University & a BA in Psychology from Wittenberg University. I'm part of Wild Blooms Wellness & see clients exclusively via telehealth across Ohio. I accept Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, Medical Mutual, & UnitedHealthcare, along with self-pay & sliding scale options.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is for everyone! We all have challenges, stressors and adjustments to work through. I am a big advocate for challenging negative thinking but also honoring the truth. I believe we always have something to be grateful for, even in our worst moments. School should be a safe and enjoyable place for every student and teacher. I enjoy doing my part to help make that happen. I have personal experience in navigating parenthood, anxiety and loss. I have many family members in the military and as first responders. I hold a special place in my heart for them and their experiences.
