About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals 10 years and older who experience disordered eating, body image concerns, and eating disorders, as well as the related difficulties that often co-occur. I'm passionate about helping you establish a more peaceful and trusting relationship with food and your body. My goal is to provide a space where you feel emotionally safe, understood, supported, and truly respected.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is weight-inclusive and grounded in Health At Every Size (HAES©) and trauma-informed principles. I recognize how diet culture and systemic oppression impact individuals' relationships with their bodies, and I aim to create an affirming space for clients of all identities and in all bodies. I believe that recovery is not one-size-fits-all — we'll work together to identify what healing looks like for you, rather than imposing rigid expectations. I tailor therapy to your unique needs and blend skills-based interventions and practical tools with space to explore and deepen your understanding of your values and identity. Together we'll work to reduce shame, challenge unhelpful diet culture messages, and build greater flexibility, understanding, and self-compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand that eating disorders serve a purpose and have helped you cope in some way. We'll explore what those behaviors are providing for you and work together at your pace to gently replace them with more supportive, sustainable ways to meet your needs — building resilience and a life in alignment with your values. That process looks different for everyone, and I'll never rush you through it. Healing your relationship with food and your body is possible. Whether you're just beginning to question things, or have been struggling for years, I'm here to support you in moving toward greater freedom, flexibility, and self-acceptance. Wherever you are in the process, I'll meet you there.
