About My Clients
Maybe you’ve spent years trying to move on, but something still feels off. You second-guess yourself, struggle to trust people, shut down, stay on guard, or keep finding yourself in the same kinds of relationships. You don’t have to know why it’s happening before starting therapy. If you’re ready to understand the patterns instead of just surviving them, we’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, connected, and in control of your life.
My Background and Approach
I don’t believe lasting change comes from learning a few coping skills and hoping for the best. My work focuses on understanding why you feel, react, and relate the way you do so we can create change that lasts beyond the therapy room. We’ll look at the patterns that have developed over time, where they came from, and what keeps them going today. From there, we’ll build new ways of responding that fit the life and relationships you want. My approach is grounded in trauma treatment, attachment science, and evidence-based therapies, but every session is shaped around your needs rather than a one-size-fits-all plan.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are more than the worst thing that’s happened to them, and more than the ways they’ve learned to survive it. Furthermore, struggling doesn’t mean you’re weak or broken, and healing isn’t about becoming someone completely different. Instead, I believe people can grow, change, and build healthier relationships when they come to understand themselves more deeply. In addition, I value honesty, accountability, curiosity, and treating every person with dignity and respect. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and committed to culturally responsive care. I welcome people from all backgrounds, identities, cultures, and belief systems, and I strive to create a space where you don’t have to shrink, perform, or fit into someone else’s idea of who you should be. Ultimately, you deserve to be met with compassion, challenged with care, and respected as the expert on your own life.
