My Background and Approach
I strongly believe that everyone has it within themselves to make changes that promote good mental health and well-being. Whether you see this in yourself or not, I will work beside you as you realize your strengths. You are the expert in your own life. It is my goal to support you in your mental health journey as you lead the way. I will provide tools and coping skills catered to you that can lead to a more fulfilling life. I also acknowledge that therapy can be difficult. Whether it is changing old habits, forming new thinking patterns, or digging up old trauma, therapy isn’t easy. However, the most difficult step is reaching out for help. As soon as you walk through the door or sign in online, that is already a strength of yours that we can acknowledge. The modalities I use most often in therapy are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). We will work together to find what works best for you.
