About My Clients
I love helping adults and teens work through the impact of their trauma so they feel validated, empowered, and free. I will guide you through the process of EMDR so that you can enjoy a healthy relationship with yourself and those you love.
My Background and Approach
With over twenty years of clinical experience working with adults, families, youth, and children in private practice, community mental health, residential care, and within student ministries, I offer an all encompassing approach to care. I hold a MA in Counseling Psychology. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon, Montana, and Texas. In addition, I provide Clinical Supervision to professional counselors in Washington and Oregon. My specialties are Trauma and PTSD, Mood & Anxiety Disorders, and Severe Mental Health Issues. I am an EMDR Certified therapist and am an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Consultant. I find EMDR is great way to help clients move through prior trauma and develop the life they want to live. In addition to EMDR, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, ACT, Internal Family Systems, Somatic, Mindfulness, and Attachment based theories, along with other evidence-based practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I prioritize creating safe, welcoming spaces for all. As an ally, I feel confident in my ability to provide meaningful services and support to the LGBTQIA+ community. I also acknowledge the current state of the world around us and how systemic oppression, political violence, and the extreme lack of social justice in our world impacts us- in both different and similar ways. I want to help all my clients feel connected to themselves and their communities and to feel empowered to live their best lives.
