Dr. Yip believes that change is a collaborative process that starts at understanding the roots of the problem. Thus, the goals and outcomes of treatment are collaborative established. In otherwords, you will establish your goals for treatment with Dr. Yip, and continuously evaluate and discuss whether your goals are being met.
My Background and Approach
Dr. Brandon Yip, Psy.D., J.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California and specializes in forensic psychology, neuropsychology, and suicidology. Dr. Yip holds both a doctorate in clinical psychology and a law degree. He completed a 2 year post-doctoral fellowship in Psychological and Neuropsychological Assessment at Pacific Clinics and a 1 year post-doctoral fellowship in community health. Dr. Yip completed his doctoral internship in Forensic and Correctional Psychology at the CA Dept. of Correction and Rehabilitation. He also completed a Neuropsychology externship at Children's Hospital LA/ USC Keck Medicine. Dr. Yip takes a collaborative approach to therapy. This approach starts at identifying the roots of the problem by understanding the individual’s social environment, daily needs, obstacles, and daily life. Dr. Yip draws from a variety of treatment modalities to facilitate change through a collaborative process of insight building, goal setting, and reflection.
