About My Clients
Many of my clients grapple with self-criticism, believing they are unworthy of love, comfort, or success. Left unaddressed, these thoughts can escalate into anxiety or depression. I help clients unravel these negative patterns and explore the underlying reasons behind their beliefs.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach begins with several sessions dedicated to understanding your background, support systems and current challenges. I actively integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy. Clients who work with me will learn coping mechanisms to confront negative thoughts and emotions, fostering confidence and self-efficacy in a supportive environment. I hold a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and have extensive experience in addiction counseling, community mental health, and group practice, equipping me to effectively help you address various challenges that you may be facing.
