About My Clients
As a clinician, I have been blessed to work with clients from a variety of different backgrounds and in each situation, I meet my clients where they are and do my very best to serve. With that being said, I don't currently limit myself to any specified client. I believe that we are able to connect on a spiritual level first, so I welcome the opportunity to continue working with diverse individuals.
My Background and Approach
My background consists of working with youth but I currently work with adults as well. If you have youth of color, especially young males of color who need clinical services, I am definitely open and available to work with this population, realizing that there is a special need within this group. My approach consists of meeting client's where they are and offering a space without judgment and free of biased opinions. I pride myself in instituting practices in a practical and manageable manner being very intentional in "never suggesting something that I wouldn't do myself."
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Each of us travel a journey that is unique to our experiences and humans have the unique ability to learn and grow to our full capacity. It is my belief that as we walk our paths, we develop mental health issues largely due to unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. I also belief that these behaviors can be unlearned! At the core of my practice I hold true to the belief that I am merely a guide in your journey and we will work together to identify the maladaptive thought patterns which form barriers in your life which seem insurmountable. I belief in involving a spiritual basis in reaching my client's while still respecting the belief systems. of each individual.
