Today is the day that you begin walking into your new normal. My goal as your therapist is to guide you into that new normal. Whether you have encountered trauma, loss of a loved one, a child recently diagnosed with a disability, depression or anxiety; it is time for you to start living and learning how to manage your new normal.
My Background and Approach
I have been in the mental health field for 20 years in a variety of settings. My experience ranges from working in a juvenile detention center, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, community mental health centers, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, and outpatient counseling centers. I have worked with major mental health, families, couples, as well as children and adolescents. My primary focus in the past 8 years has been with children and adolescents (more specifically adolescents). I specialize in working with families, couples, and adolescents. I am an eclectic therapist meaning one size does not fit all. We will work together to develop your therapeutic goals. While we all know, life tends to show up whether we are ready or not, and I specialize in helping individuals, families, and groups process and deal with those issues. I understand the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship that is genuine and promotes growth.
