Our bodies and our brains are amazing things! And sometimes they get stuff a little bit wrong. Anxiety is your body trying to tell you that it thinks something is wrong--that you need to be on full alert. And that can be a problem when it keeps you from living the life you want to lead. We can work together to use mindful approaches to honor and respect what your body is trying to tell you while moving out into your life with what you know to be true and healthy for you.
Depression can feel all-consuming and it has a habit of keeping itself going strong. When you're depressed, you can feel like doing nothing at all or at least nothing healthy! And that will often just make you feel more depressed. The good news is, you can interrupt that cycle, whatever it looks like for you. It takes time and it's hard, but change is possible. And it often starts with the massive act of self-compassion that is asking for some help.
Many clients want to work on "Bettering themselves," which is a whole packed phrase. For starters, we're going to talk about how you are already a human with value just like anybody else regardless of what you need to work on. That being said, we can all do for some help with interpersonal communication skills, boundary setting, or even career counseling. We can pull together the tools you need to live the life you want to live.
