This place was built with you in mind. Let’s begin.
My Background and Approach
I’m Bonnie Russo, LCSW (licensed since 2018), QS (since 2020), and MCAP pending 2025—founder of Papillon Health & Wellness in Port St. Lucie & Stuart, FL. With an MSW from USC (2013) and years of clinical experience, I bring trauma-informed heart and science-backed methods to every session. In addition to therapy, I design and lead concierge-level Advanced Resolution Therapy (ART) Intensives for those seeking rapid, lasting change in fewer sessions, as well as supervision for interns and graduate students. I also serve as a professor and supervisor for universities, helping shape the next generation of trauma-informed clinicians. We proudly serve individuals and families across the state of Florida through telehealth and offer in-person sessions for intensives at our Papillon offices. Our approach includes: Advanced Resolution Therapy (ART), science-backed, CBT, DBT, and Inner Child work Strength-based, empowerment-based, motivational interviewing, family systems, and trauma-focused
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong”—it’s about reconnecting you with the resilience and wholeness you already carry. I believe people don’t heal in a vacuum; healing happens in relationships, families, systems, and communities. That’s why my work with clients often extends beyond the individual—into family healing, breaking generational wounds, and building healthier systems of care. I’ve seen the same universal pain on Skid Row and on yachts—suffering doesn’t discriminate. But I’ve also seen the same universal truth: there is a solution, and people don’t have to hit rock bottom to begin healing. Through Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and compassionate psychotherapy, transformation is possible, and it can happen sooner than you think. Outside of sessions, I mentor interns, create trauma-informed workbooks, and build community programs. My life’s work is proof that change ripples outward: when one person heals, families shift, systems change, and communities grow stronger.
