About My Clients
Are you struggling with communication with your loved ones? Or maybe a partner? Are you finding it difficult to find your motivation or on a journey of self discovery? Feeling stuck can have a great impact on our every day lives. My approach to therapy is to work through the grief, build self-esteem and confidence and to see the positives that can come from a childless life. Through use of CBT, we can connect the thoughts, feelings and behaviors and learn new ways of processing.
My Background and Approach
I started working as a certified surgical technologist but always wanted to be a counselor. I have worked with many faculties but enjoy working with adults through talk therapy. I have a background in mindfulness training that allows me to utilize and teach coping skills. I have seen improvement in clients with their anxiety and panic utilizing mindfulness techniques. For example, deep breathing exercises to calm down in times of stress and visualization exercises for sleep.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a member of the RESOLVE.org network which is a national infertility awareness group. I am an advocate for rescues specifically pitbulls. I have a close network of colleagues who have their own subset of skills that can be invaluable for consults or even to get you to the write fit.
