About My Clients
Do you sense that your struggles are not just problems to eliminate, but signals pointing toward deeper meaning or change? Are you curious about dreams, symbols, mythology, or archetypal stories and how they might illuminate your life? Do you often feel that your inner life is rich, complex, and difficult to explain within ordinary psychological language? Have you have experienced periods of depression, anxiety, or life upheaval that feel less like illness and more like a threshold?
My Background and Approach
Alongside my clinical work as a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience working within medical and insurance-based mental health systems, I have been shaped by depth-psychological traditions that understand the psyche as symbolic, imaginal, and meaning-making. This work reflects an integration of those worlds. I bring clinical training and discernment together with an orientation that values dream, image, archetype, and recurring pattern as central to psychological life. I do not approach symptoms solely as problems to eliminate, but as expressions that may carry meaning. The aim is not self-optimization, but a more conscious relationship with one’s inner and outer life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist who has walked through my own experiences of trauma and transformation, I bring to this work the perspectives and practices that have genuinely sustained me: reverence for story, openness to the imaginal and symbolic dimensions of life, and the willingness to meet suffering with presence and curiosity rather than fear. I believe the medical model, while valuable in many ways, cannot fully contain the depth and complexity of human suffering. Much of our pain arises not only from pathology, but from grief, transition, trauma, disconnection, and the profound task of making meaning from our lives. My work is not about forcing solutions or “fixing” people. Instead, I seek to help others navigate their own underworld journeys—illuminating pathways toward resilience transformation, and deeper connection to self. I strive to create a space where suffering can be witnessed with compassion and where complexity is honored.
