My Background and Approach
I am dedicated to helping clients grow and develop into their ideal self and have a strong commitment to tailoring therapy to meet the needs of the client, with the belief the most effective outcomes are a collaborative effort. My philosophy on the therapeutic process is client centered, lending itself to the incorporation of a variety of theoretical orientations with great flexibility in style. I often focus on integrating the art and science of mindfulness into work with many clients. Completing my dissertation on chronic pain and positive social emotions, I incorporate the use of compassion in treatment. I graduated with an integrative emphasis, incorporating many methodologies to health and healing. I believe wellness encompasses multiple aspects of one's life, including the mind-body connection, cognitions and emotions, one's social context and cultural background, and provide a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to treatment. I also utilize technologies, like biofeedback.
