About My Clients

Something has shifted, and you can feel it — even if you can't fully name it yet. Maybe you've built a life that looks right from the outside but feels disconnected on the inside. Maybe decisions that used to come easily feel impossible now. Maybe you've been holding it together for so long that you're not sure who you are underneath the performance. I work with adults navigating self esteem, identity, belonging, cultural complexity, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

My Background and Approach

I trained at Princeton (Psychology & Neuroscience) and University of Chicago (Social Work), with advanced psychodynamic fellowship training post-graduation. I am licensed/registered to practice in 8 states: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, Washington D.C., and Vermont. Also work with clients in Hong Kong, Singapore, and selected international locations. My approach is psychodynamic and relational. We look at the patterns shaping how you think, decide, and relate — not to fix surface behavior, but to understand the system underneath. That means exploring how family, culture, history, and the roles you learned to play are still running things. I bring depth, directness, and genuine curiosity. I also speak Mandarin. If something here resonates, even quietly, and even if you can't fully name it yet, that recognition matters. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. The work starts exactly where you are now.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I work with adults navigating identity, self esteem, belonging, cultural complexity, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are multicultural, AAPI, or global professionals who understand what it's like to move between worlds and to carry the weight of expectations that don't quite fit.. I draw on attachment theory, family systems, and culturally informed perspectives. The work is collaborative and direct. We're not running a protocol — we're understanding the system shaping your experience so you can actually change it. The work focuses on understanding the patterns driving the problem, not just managing symptoms.
