About My Clients
Are you looking for an authentic and honest connection with others? Not sure how you "fit in" to the world? Have always felt like an "outsider"? Let's connect and determine if you're feeling my vibe of authenticity and acceptance as I learn about you and focus on understanding you, as an individual, and identifying your needs.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) registered with the Colorado DORA. My clinical practice is defined by an Integrative and Holistic Approach and a deep commitment to Trauma-Informed Care. I have extensive background in case management assisting with identifying resources and referrals for all Social Determinants of Health (housing, food, medical, transportation and employment); in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling (identifying barriers related to disability and developing a plan along side the Client of how to address those barriers, as related to employment or school), and in both community mental health and private practice settings. I have experience with working with complex populations on issues related to Grief & Loss; Queer Issues; and d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing Issues (some ASL).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am strongly client-focused and believe that therapy should be individualized and operate from an eclectic perspective of modalities (CBT, DBT, Narrative, Queer Friendly, Trauma Informed, Culturally Sensitive and Person-Centered) while following my Client's lead on pace and depth of exploration and disclosure of trauma. I believe therapy is built on a strong therapeutic relationship between Client and Therapist, where unconditional positive regard and acceptance is forefront. My Client's often reflect, that they appreciate my authentic approach and understanding around anything they want to bring to their session.
