About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed by depression, anxiety, sleep issues, or painful memories? Do relationships feel challenging or leave you feeling drained? If these symptoms affect your daily life, I'm here to help. I specialize in treating adults with insomnia, nightmares, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Whether you're facing long-term challenges or sudden difficulties, I'm here to support you.
My Background and Approach
I’m a clinical psychologist with over 27 years of experience treating adults experiencing insomnia, nightmares, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I am also board-certified in behavioral sleep medicine. I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and have previously worked as a forensic psychologist, in a community mental health clinic, in a primary care clinic setting, and, of course, in private practice. These experiences have provided me with a wealth of diverse experiences that have honed my specialist skills as I treat the people with whom I work. I use approaches including Person Centered, CBT, CBT-I, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to treat and resolve symptoms.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In our work together, we will collaborate to understand your therapy goals and provide clear information about the best treatments to address your symptoms. I will always use the interventions best suited to your needs while adapting any intervention when needed. You will find me a warm, caring, professional, practical, and down-to-earth clinician. I believe in working collaboratively, informing you about your symptoms, providing practical ways to address them, and ensuring you can track your progress. (Count on a bit of wit in the mix.) I provide a safe, supportive space where we’ll work together to understand your symptoms and create a practical, personalized plan for your goals.
