About My Clients

Depression, anxiety and life's stressors can feel insurmountable. I offer a safe, brave space to help find emotional clarity and meaning again. We will create a partnership of trust, become curious and collaborate on how best to remove blocks and old patterns, and acquire tools toward a more fulfilled life. I seek to empower those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, grief, at-risk behaviors, self-esteem, relationship and family attachment difficulties and life transitions.

My Background and Approach

Fact: I became a psychotherapist following a decades-long business career. My approach is relational and integrative, trauma-informed, goal-oriented, combining talk therapy, CBT tools, somatic (body) awareness and meditation to access mindfulness, presence and focus. We often cycle through thoughts in our heads, yet cut ourselves off from the felt sense in our bodies. When we permit ourselves to slow down, to witness our thoughts and physical responses to the issues causing pain and suffering, healing is possible and sustainable. Towards this end, I participate in ongoing training in an intervention known as Somatic Experiencing (SE). I work to help others recognize their unique strengths and resilience. My own strength is in my ability to connect in a supportive, nurturing, non-judgmental manner. I will 'sit alongside' my clients to help confront the thoughts and behaviors holding them back from achieving their therapeutic goals. I am a LMSW licensed in NY and NJ.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
