About My Clients
I am a Telehealth-based clinician and I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples. I have experience working with anxiety and mood disorders, life transitions, grief/loss, family/relationship conflicts, multicultural concerns, and stress management.
My Background and Approach
Each therapist will have his or her own toolbox with which they will approach your unique set of needs but to me the most important tool is the therapeutic relationship formed between client and therapist. This is where change begins. While I am heavily rooted in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) I also believe in taking a client-centered approach and using the best therapy modality to fit the client’s needs. I utilize tools such as mindfulness, coping strategies, grounding techniques and more. Treatment planning is a collaborative effort between myself and the client. I want you to feel that your therapeutic journey is moving you closer toward your goals. What brought you to therapy? What do you hope the outcome will be? Empathy is the heart and core of my practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in therapy because I’ve sat in that chair myself and done the work. As a Black Latina woman I believe Black Lives Matter. I am not a member of the LGBTQ community but I am a supporter of you loving and living as you are!
