About My Clients
I work best with adults who are used to holding a lot together on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. Many of my clients are Black women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ clients, and other thoughtful, high-functioning people who are tired of overthinking, self-doubt, relationship stress, and trying to carry everything alone.
My Background and Approach
I’m a clinical social worker in private practice, and my approach is relational, grounded, and trauma-informed. Therapy with me is not about picking you apart or reducing you to a diagnosis. It’s about helping you make sense of what you’re feeling, notice patterns with more clarity, and build a life that feels more manageable and more like your own. Clients often tell me therapy with me feels more natural than they expected, and more like a real conversation than a clinical performance. I integrate approaches like EMDR, CBT, psychodynamic, and insight-oriented work, but I focus on what actually helps things click for you. My goal is for you to feel understood, challenged when needed, and more able to move through life with intention.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should feel human. I value honesty, self-awareness, and creating a space where people can show up without feeling judged, overanalyzed, or pressured to perform. I care deeply about affirming care for Black women, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ clients, especially those who have spent a long time feeling unseen, misunderstood, or forced to hold it all together. My style is warm, direct, and real. I’m not interested in pathologizing people for having understandable responses to hard things. I believe insight matters, but so does relationship. Sometimes what helps most is having space to slow down, tell the truth, and finally hear yourself clearly.
