About My Clients
Are you the parent of a child, teen, or young adult going through a tough time? Are they dealing with problems at home or school? Do they need help with feelings like anxiety, sadness, anger, stress/worry, low self-esteem, or grief? If the mere thought of trying to find help seems overwhelming, you're not alone. But procrastinating often allows the problem to grow. The earlier your child begins their journey towards a happier life, the quicker you will see positive changes.
My Background and Approach
I have extensive experience and training working with children and teens struggling with PTSD and trauma and certified in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I also specialize in adolescent and young adult issues including academic and social pressures, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, pandemic stress and transitioning back to normal, relationship issues, divorce, parent/child relational issues, mood disorders, grief and loss, and career exploration and counseling. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe my clients are capable of change and being the best version of themselves, and that the relationship and “fit” between therapist and client is critical regardless of the treatment approach. My approach is positive, collaborative and warm. Going to therapy is like going to the gym; you may feel sore and you won’t see immediate effects, but the long-term results are gratifying and well-worth the investment.
