My initial interest in psychotherapy was rooted in wilderness therapy and in spiritual questioning. After attending and graduating CIIS in 2014, attachment styles and relationship patterns became important in my work. I enjoy making sense of difficult feelings, understanding better our unconscious patterns, and learning how to have a voice with others through communication.
At some point I realized that my main interest in healing emotional wounds was through a holistic method, which focuses on treating the root of the symptoms instead of the symptoms themselves. Similar to physical injuries, I feel that emotional injuries take time and attention to heal, and all root causes of the pain or the issues arising must be addressed.
My style is mostly relational- attachment based. I use the therapy and relationships in one's life to help one understand how they are attached to others, what their needs around attachment may be, and how to have a voice with others.
