My Background and Approach
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. You want someone who truly understands your needs, values your culture, and uses proven tools to help. I am a Johns Hopkins-trained bilingual psychologist and have been extensively trained in trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal stress. As a bilingual and multicultural psychologist, I use a socially conscious lens to understand the complex challenges my clients face. I am licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Florida, and provisionally licensed in Georgia.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, our histories, and our communities. As a therapist, I aim to affirm all aspects of who you are, including your cultural identity, values, and lived experiences. I care deeply about social justice and believe therapy can be a space to unpack the impact of systemic oppression while also celebrating strength and resistance. I see my role as a guide and collaborator—not someone who has all the answers, but someone who will sit with you through the hard parts and help you move toward clarity and connection. Outside the therapy room, I’m also a researcher focused on improving mental health access and outcomes for historically marginalized youth and families. I’m passionate about emotional wellness, language justice, and holding space for healing that’s real, nuanced, and culturally rooted.
