About My Clients
My ideal client is someone navigating anxiety, stress, self-doubt, or life transitions. They want to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their emotions. Their goals include building resilience, improving relationships, and developing self-awareness. They seek therapy to understand themselves better, break unhelpful patterns, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
I’m Betty Gulko, M.S.Ed, MHC-I, a compassionate and collaborative therapist dedicated to helping individuals and families heal through connection, understanding, and personal growth. My approach is holistic and client-centered, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, supported, and empowered. I hold a Master’s in Education and Psychology, with extensive experience in special education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and coaching. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, self-doubt, life transitions, and emotional regulation. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based methods, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I tailor each session to meet your unique needs. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore emotions, strengthen resilience, and cultivate confidence and balance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of my work as a therapist, I value balance, connection, and creativity. I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog, being by the beach, and traveling to new places that inspire reflection and growth. Fitness, mindfulness, and art are a big part of my life, helping me stay grounded and present. I believe in the importance of self-compassion, community, and living with intention. These values influence my approach to therapy and how I connect with clients—encouraging them to find calm, purpose, and meaning in their own lives.
