About My Clients
I work primarily with queer and transgender children, adolescents and young adults and cisgender partners of trans individuals. I work with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma (including religious trauma), gender dysphoria, life stressors and identity development. I also provide surgical evaluations/letters for those seeking gender-affirming surgery.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style is warm, open and direct; I am here to support you in your journey. I approach therapy from a liberation-focused framework, focusing on your strengths and identifying and confronting oppression-based and/or structural barriers. I also provide trauma-informed care and challenge individuals to empower themselves to thrive in life. As a therapist, my job is to listen without judgment, challenge you, and support you in your journey. I offer a supportive and affirming environment for individuals and families to explore their current situations, and work on healing in whatever way they need.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a white cisgender queer millennial, I am deeply committed in continuing my own work to serve as a holding space for trans/non-binary individuals, BIPOC folks and those who are neurodivergent. I believe it is important to take a decolonized approach to therapy to make it accessible to everyone.
