About My Clients
I specialize in grief, loss, chronic illness, and medical system involvement, along with life adjustments such as changes in location, careers, relationships, and identities. I enjoy supporting teens, adults, couples, and families. With a professional background in pediatric oncology and psychiatric crisis care and personal experience as a first generation US American, I bring a systems lens with which to collaborate on unearthing your potential and your joy. If this sounds like you, reach out!
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience working in direct service and mental healthcare. I utilize a liberation health framework and believe that every person is the expert in the best version of themselves. The tools we will explore together are informed by my knowledge of therapeutic paradigms and your own expertise in your nervous system, your history, and your goals. My approach is trauma-informed, relationship-centered, and evidence based. I bill $155 for a 50 minute individual session and I accept all major credit cards. I do not accept insurance, however I will provide you with a statement after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work is grounded in feminism, anti-racism, and queer liberation, and I am committed to providing unconditional regard and a growth mindset in our therapeutic partnership. I strive to provide culturally responsive care to a wide range of individuals seeking counseling support, and as a lifelong learner will continue to seek development and education in providing the most appropriate care possible. I love to read, and will offer both fiction and non-fiction book recommendations in therapy if that is an interest we share! Spending time outdoors, moving my body, and engaging meaningfully in the richness of city life are guideposts for me. I partner with Pro Bono Counseling (https://www.probonocounseling.org) to balance my support for accessible mental health care with my commitment to sustainability and longevity as a practitioner in this field.
