My Background and Approach
With more than three decades of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, registered play therapist and clinical supervisor (MSW, RPT-S, LCSW-S), I have dedicated my career to supporting adults, seniors, children and teens. As the Clinical Director of Sunshine Senior Counseling, I lead a team of Medicare therapists providing both in-home visits and telehealth sessions across Florida. I am licensed in Florida (SW5646) and hold advanced certifications in Accelerated Resolution Therapy and play therapy. My approach is warm, respectful and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based modalities – such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, family systems and play therapy – to help clients process trauma, manage mood disorders, build resilience and improve relationships. Together we identify solutions, enhance strengths and develop new skills so clients can navigate grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, dementia care and other challenges with confidence.
