About My Clients
Have you ever felt like no one truly understands what it’s like to be you? Maybe you’re trying to rebuild trust after being hurt, or struggling to feel seen in your relationship no matter how hard you try. Perhaps you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community wanting a space where you can simply exist, or a man learning how to express what you’ve always kept inside. You deserve compassion, understanding, and space to heal. Together, we can make sense of your story and help you feel whole again.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. My doctoral work allows me to stay immersed in research and advocacy that promote client wellness, equity, and social awareness. I bring curiosity and care into my work, often researching new ideas or approaches to better understand and support those I serve. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and integrative. I believe therapy should fit the person, not the other way around. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage symptoms and build effective coping skills. I also value depth and emotional understanding, helping clients explore their inner world, identify patterns, and make sense of their experiences. Emotion-Focused and Psychodynamic principles guide much of this process, creating space for genuine insight, healing, and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Advocacy is central to who I am. I’m an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community and provide gender-affirming care that celebrates authenticity and identity. As a Mexican American, I hold deep respect for cultural values, family systems, and the intersections of heritage and healing. I also stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and believe in creating spaces where all voices are valued and protected. My goal is to help clients feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow into their fullest selves Let's demystify this therapy process through compassion, open-mindedness, and a little humor!
