My Background and Approach
My name is Benson G. Munyan, PhD. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Florida. My approach to therapy is predominately grounded in Cognitive and Cognitive-Behavioral theory. I specialize in individual therapy for anxiety, stress, and trauma. I also have extensive training and experience in cognitive therapy and psychiatric evaluation/consultation. I believe strongly in measurement-driven psychological evaluation and evidence-based psychotherapy. I describe my therapeutic style as practical and strive to ensure my clients clearly and fully understand their diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options. Even more importantly, I strive to understand my clients, including their backgrounds, values, and goals.
