About My Clients
I have helped adolescents and adults successfully work through anxiety, ADHD, OCD, depression, trauma, addiction, life transitions, and the effects of brain injuries (TBI) as well as divorce, loss, and career uncertainty. I also have a fun and unique way of working with children.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in both professional training and personal experience. Since graduating high school in 1995, I have been engaged in my own transformational growth to process my own trauma by practicing emotional insight and movement therapy. This lived experience allows me to connect with clients in a deeply authentic and compassionate way. Our work together is collaborative and tailored to you. I provide a safe space where you can share openly and move at your own pace. We’ll explore what’s coming up for you, build awareness, and develop practical tools to support lasting change. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, my goal is to meet you where you are currently at with empathy, respect, and genuine care, holding a space for meaningful growth. Together, we will work toward helping you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My influences include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, SFBT (Solution Focus), Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and HeartMath as well as artistic and movement therapy (Polyvagal Theory) approaches.
