About My Clients
Are you an adult, or parent of a child and feel stuck in patterns that no longer work: intrusive thoughts and compulsions, overwhelming emotions, anxiety, trauma, or recurring conflict at home. may be high-functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside. You want more than a place to vent; you want a clear plan, practical skills, and a therapist who is warm, direct, and grounded in the science. You're ready to practice between sessions and build a life worth living.
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. My work is rooted in treatments that research shows actually work: Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, CBT and the Unified Protocol for anxiety and mood, DBT-informed therapy for intense emotions, and CPT and STAIR for trauma. I also help parents through PCIT and Parent Management Training, and work with couples using Gottman and DBT-based methods. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. We'll start with a careful assessment, agree on clear goals, and track progress so you always know where we're headed. Sessions are active: you'll learn skills, practice them between visits, and face what you've been avoiding at a pace that is challenging but doable. The goal: real change you can feel and measure. I see clients by secure telehealth in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and PSYPACT states.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I come from a behavioral tradition, and at its heart is a hopeful idea: people are not broken, they are doing what they have learned, and anything learned can be relearned. I believe suffering is part of being human, not proof that something is wrong with you. The problem is rarely the pain itself. It's what we give up to avoid it: the relationships, risks, and moments that matter most. So I care less about eliminating every hard thought or feeling and more about what you do while they're present. Early on, I'll ask what you want your life to stand for, because values give the hard work of therapy a reason. I believe acceptance and change belong together: you are doing the best you can, and you can do better. I believe small actions, repeated, reshape a life more reliably than insight alone. And I believe everyone can build a life worth living, not a life without pain, but one that is full, chosen, and their own. My job is to help you find your direction and take the next step. Just u
