About My Clients
Have you been to therapy before and felt that there was something deeper left to be explored? Have you found that you're a high performer, but something still isn't right? Or maybe anxiety is keeping you from being the best version of yourself. Often, we know something is wrong but aren't exactly sure what it is. Therapy is a place not just to feel better, but to become whole and gain greater insight, awareness, and most of all, satisfaction in life.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the mental health for ten years and have held a variety of positions. I have been counseling since 2020 and obtained my LPCC license in 2026. I have experience working with adults, couples, LGBTQ+ individuals, children, and individuals struggling with addiction. Currently I see adults and couples who are struggling with life transitions, relationship problems, anxiety, and existential issues. I also enjoy working with people who are dealing with issues related to spirituality or are in fine arts, as I have academic training in both areas. I practice primarily from a psychodynamic approach, which focuses on the role of the unconscious parts of ourselves. Through this kind of therapy, people get to know themselves better and take control of their lives so that their lives can be more fulfilling. We'll talk about what brings you in, your past, anxiety and suffering, and I'll help build insight that leads to action and change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people have a right to quality therapy, whether with me or someone else. In life, we all develop problems or concerns, and we all deserve a chance to make the life we want. I truly believe that there is no one "right way" to do therapy, so long as what is done is legal and ethical. As far as about me when I'm not doing therapy, I am an avid tabletop roleplaying enthusiast running two to three games of D&D per week, as well as having been paid to do professional games online and at the convention level. I sing in two choirs and enjoy getting to share music with my community. Lastly, I have an affinity for Appalachian culture, having grown up in a small town in southern Ohio.
