About My Clients
My foundational experience in clinical work has been rooted in supporting queer and BIPOC clients as they have navigated hardship, health, identity, and family and partner relationships.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in supporting individuals as they heal from trauma, mend relationships, explore identity, and cope with emotional distress. My approach to work is gentle, focused, and relational, which means that my goal is to help you to feel understood, and guided to make meaningful changes in your life and relationships. I believe that this creates a path for clients to heal and to stay connected to who they are, and what they value. Clinically, I draw from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, AEDP, Mindfulness, CBT, and ACT, and I work to tailor my approach to what resonates most with your experience. I am passionate about working with both individuals and couples, and I have received advanced training in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, a leading research-driven attachment based approach for couples, with a specialization of working within the LGBTQIA+ community.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing comes from an integration of individual identity, culture, and spirituality, and I take an anti-racist and LGBTQ+ and trans-affirming and informed approach that prioritizes acceptance and belonging for all aspects of identity.
