About My Clients
I help individuals and couples build stronger, healthier relationships through evidence-based therapy. I specialize in couples counseling, marriage counseling, relationship therapy, sex therapy, neurodivergent relationships, ADHD, autism, ethical non-monogamy (ENM), polyamory, and kink-affirming therapy. My approach is active, direct, collaborative, and grounded in practical tools that help clients create meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I have worked for over 15 years with couples experiencing problems with communication, trust, intimacy, recurring arguments, disconnection, and affair recovery. Couples counseling can help create healthier and more satisfying relationships. Sexual concerns are common, and I help clients address low sexual desire, mismatched libido, sexual anxiety, intimacy concerns, sexual communication difficulties, erectile dysfunction, and challenges related to sexual identity and expression. I work with neurodivergent adults and couples, including individuals with ADHD and autism. Challenges can arise when partners experience differences in communication styles, emotional regulation, executive functioning, sensory needs, or social expectations. I provide affirming therapy for non-monogamous, polyamorous, and kinky clients. I help navigate communication, jealousy, boundaries, and relationship transitions. My practice is grounded in respect, curiosity, and affirmation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in liberation. As a therapist, I am passionate about helping clients liberate themselves from the constraints of their own minds, the traumas of the past, and the prejudice of the world around them. When people are free, they can live their lives with a greater sense of vitality and are more aware of who they are. I am passionate about helping people to embrace the humanity of their pain and suffering so they can live full and meaning-filled lives. I also believe in science. I believe in using proven methods and validated assessment tools to help clients grow and prosper. For myself and many of my clients, thinking like a scientist is a powerful way to liberate from the constraints of what we think “should” be. I also believe in resiliency. There is not a single client I have had who I believe to be weak. Rather, I help clients to find, harness, and build the strengths that are already within them. This belief empowers clients to confront the challenges in their own lives.
