About My Clients

I believe every person has unique talents and strengths that can be used as tools to overcome obstacles. I love working with individuals who want to identify those strengths and find ways to create a more hopeful future for themselves and their families. I understand this can be daunting, especially when we become overwhelmed with obstacles to our mental wellbeing. But as long as you are willing to take that first step, I'm here to help you continue moving in the right direction.

My Background and Approach

As the son of an officer in the Air Force, I spent much of my young life living with diverse populations around the country. It was through these experiences that I gained admiration for people from all walks of life. Upon beginning college I became involved in organizations focused on assisting those in need in the community. This included opportunities to serve with Cache Refugee and Immigrant Connection, Utah State University President's Cabinet, and the Utah State University International Student Council. Through these experiences I learned that regardless of where we come from, we all crave balance and happiness in our lives. I since have received a bachelors and masters degree in social work, and have become specialized in interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have worked with individuals facing depression, anxiety, and recovering from trauma.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a passionate believer that every human has intrinsic worth and unique talents. For this reason I am very outspoken about the need for refugee and immigrant support, as well as calls to action regarding the wealth disparity that is growing within our nation. Every human regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnicity deserves peace and joy in their life, and I have dedicated myself to ensuring individuals have the resources they need to achieve that peace and joy. Whether I am working in the community or as a therapist my goal is the same- to help individuals heal and find joy.
