I work with thoughtful, creative adults who look capable but feel internally strained, stuck, or disconnected beneath the surface.

About My Clients

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, creative, and high-functioning adults who are outwardly capable but feel internally strained, restless, or disconnected from themselves. They are often successful in their work and relationships, yet feel caught in patterns of over-functioning, self-criticism, or quiet burnout. My clients are curious about their inner lives and are seeking depth, meaning, and relief from the pressure to perform rather than quick fixes or surface-level solutions.

My Background and Approach

My work is relational and depth-oriented, drawing from psychodynamic and Jungian traditions. I am especially interested in negative capability—the capacity to stay with uncertainty, contradiction, and not-knowing without rushing toward premature clarity or solutions. Therapy becomes a space where meaning can emerge rather than be forced. I also pay attention to moments of disruption, paradox, humor, and surprise. When familiar patterns loosen and new possibilities appear. Rather than pathologizing confusion or ambivalence, I’m interested in how these states can signal movement, creativity, and change when held with care. I work with adults and couples navigating burnout, anxiety, creative blocks, relational strain, and life transitions, particularly those who feel pressure to over-function or perform competence. My approach emphasizes curiosity, symbolic meaning, and a pace that allows emotional truth to take shape over time.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe psychological work happens most fully in contexts of respect, dignity, and genuine curiosity about difference. I welcome clients of all races, ethnicities, immigration statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, and I’m attentive to how social, cultural, and historical forces shape inner life as well as relationships. I’m interested in forms of therapy that resist simplification—work that makes room for complexity, ambivalence, and contradiction rather than treating them as problems to eliminate. I value thoughtfulness over certainty, ethical containment over performance, and approaches that honor lived experience without collapsing it into categories or prescriptions. My aim is to offer a space where people can bring what doesn’t easily fit elsewhere and trust that it will be met with care.
